ABOUT THE GUILD PROGRAM |
Members in the
Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter whose membership is in good standing can earn
Guild Dollars by attending meetings and volunteering their time on certain
Guild events. Guild Dollars may be spent only on events and prizes
sponsored by the Chapter. They may not be spent on Neighborhood Group
functions or membership dues. Guild Dollars are not awarded to D/FW Chapter
Advisory Board members for duties performed in connection with their elected
positions.
Guild Dollar Request Forms may be obtained from, and must be
signed by, any Neighborhood Group leader, or Advisory Board member (other
than the applicant). The form must be submitted to the Guild Dollar
Coordinator within 30 days of the date the form is signed. Guild dollars are
mailed to the members on receipt of the completed request form. If a member
submits a prize redemption request and the appropriate Guild Dollars, the
requested item is reserved and delivered at the following event.
The Advisory Board determines the appropriate dollars awarded for
each activity. The Advisory Board reserves the right to terminate the Guild
Dollar program at any time. Guidelines may be amended by a quorum of the
Advisory Board during their regular meetings; members will be advised of any
changes.
Guild Dollars may be carried over to the following year if not
redeemed in the year issued. Guild Dollars may be redeemed in increments of
$1 or $5 only. The value of the Guild Dollar merchandise is
established by the suggested retail price on the date the prize was accepted
by the Chapter, remains constant throughout the year. Prizes may vary from
year to year. Prizes will be redeemed by the first member who earns enough
Guild Dollars for that particular items and submits a claim.

HOW TO EARN GUILD DOLLARS |

for every two hours spent serving on a Chapter designated committee or special project (excluding Martha Pullen’s expo, in which free admission is received |

Visit a retailer and submit an item for the Retailer Happenings column of the newsletter by the deadline date for the appropriate issue. |

Bring a guest who becomes a member to any Guild function. In order to receive Guild Dollars, the new member must indicate your name on the application form. No claim form is required to be submitted other than the new member’s application. |

Contribute an article to the newsletter which is published. |

Get an announcement for a Guild event or meeting published in a local newspaper. |

Get another website to link to the D/FW ASG website (www.sewdallas.org). |

Attend a neighborhood group meeting to which you have not gone before. |

Find a new retailer who will support ASG (Contact Dixie Little for details). |
