ASG PUBLICATIONS
There are many benefits to joining the American Sewing Guild. In addition to making new friends, sharing ideas and receiving discounts, you will receive two quarterly publications to keep you up to date with the latest sewing news.

The national magazine, Notions, contains tips and techniques, news from the sewing industry, reports from other chapters, and communication from the national board.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter newsletter, SeamsWrite! contains news of interest to local members. It includes the President's Podium with a message from the Chapter president.  It also includes book reviews, neighborhood group
news, and retailer info, as well as other information.

NEIGHBORHOOD GROUP MEETINGS
Neighborhood Groups are the heart of the chapter. These groups meet monthly to learn and share ideas with others
who sew. Members have lots of fun making projects for themselves as well as charitable projects like Christmas stockings, blankets, cancer caps, toy bears and much more. Neighborhood Groups activities also include presentations by other members or retailers, field trips to fabric stores, help with fitting problems, and other programs determined by each individual group. As an ASG member, you may attend any Neighborhood Group meeting.  Guests may attend up to two meetings. If another Chapter is offering a special speaker or event, you can attend at the member price.  Non-members can attend Neighborhood Group functions; however, there will be a Visitor's Fee of $10 per event after two complimentary guest visits.

ASG EVENTS

GUILD DOLLAR PROGRAM
The Guild Dollar program allows you to earn "dollars" which can be spent on prizes offered by the chapter. You earn Guild dollars by presenting programs, participating in committee work, and helping with special projects, to name a few. Click on the Guild Dollar Program link for more details.

RETAIL SPONSOR DISCOUNTS
ASG retail sponsors offer many discounts to members. Click on Sponsors/Links for a listing of all area participating retailers.

As a member, you also receive a discount on all Chapter events.

CHAPTER LIBRARY
The Chapter Library has more than 100 books and videotapes available for check out by members. The Library is available at most major events, and you may request books be sent to you by mail for a small fee. Titles range from beginning to advance sewing techniques, including many project books with great ideas. For more information, click the Chapter Library link.
